"A portrait of Judah once a week, every week, in 2013"

35/52 - Making funny faces with Grandad :) He was making funny faces just like this using his hands, and you grabbed his hand and put it on your face like "do it to me Grandad!"
You and Grandad are the best of buds - you cry when he leaves the room without you (you couldn't care less if I leave the room!). Today we leave to go back to the States and it's going to be rough tearing the two of you apart.

My favorite portrait from last week is adorable Eva on the beach.

"A portrait of Judah once a week, every week, in 2013"

34/52 - On the beach in Fish Hoek... this is the first time you've seen an ocean since you were 6 months old, and you were mesmerized by it. The wind, the waves, the sand, the sea gulls, the mussels... everything. You would run down to the water, and then turn and run away in glee when the waves came in.

I have so many pictures already from our time in South Africa... hopefully one day I'll get all caught up on the blog! You are doing so well with all the new people and places and you have become especially attached to your Grandad... it will be hard to tear the two of you apart.

My favorite portrait from last week is this little boy running through a field, clutching his rock... something Judah would do!

"A portrait of Judah once a week, every week, in 2013"

33/52 - Sweet boy, so jet-lagged the day after we arrived in South Africa. I'm so proud of my little world traveller - you did so well on the 16 hour flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg, you slept most of it (admittedly with a little help from Benadryl!) and then you played happily when you were awake. We were fortunate to have an empty seat next to us so we could spread out a bit. When we arrived, you jumped straight into having a grand old time with Grandad and Nana and Uncle Daniel and Uncle Matthew... you hardly even batted your eyes at the fact that it was another new place (not to mention new continent and time zone!).
