43/52

"A portrait of Judah once a week, every week, in 2013"

43/52 - Every morning we snuggle and play and giggle in bed before we get up.
I get you from your crib and bring you back to our bed. You surround yourself in pillows and blankets then lie back and say "ahhhhhh". Then you point to the spot next to you and order me to lie down too :)

My favorite portrait from last week is this adorable little guy at bath time. Bath time is Judah's favorite time of day, too.

42/52

"A portrait of Judah once a week, every week, in 2013"

42/52 - Like last week, these pictures (I couldn't possibly choose between them) are at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. On this visit, you got to feed the baby goats a bottle of milk. I was slightly in awe of what a little boy you have become. You were not afraid at all, and you loved it when all the goats were surrounding you begging for some milk.

{I have so many more adorable pictures of goat feeding and other things from our Deanna Rose outings... it warrants a whole post soon}

My favorite portrait from last week is this little girl, mid-sentence. I love it when I capture a moment like this with Judah!

"A portrait of Judah once a week, every week, in 2013"

41/52 - In the dappled sunlight, hugging the squirrel rocker at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. You loved this little squirrel - there were lots of other animal rockers, but you kept coming back to the "suhk-wirrel".
We love the Deanna Rose Farmstead! We'll be back as many times as possible before it closes for the winter at the end of October.

My favorite portraits from last week are these two kiddos outside in nature - the lighting is absolutely perfect.

Oregon: choo choo trains!

One of Judah's favorite things at Grandma and Grandpa's house were the trains that his Papa grew up playing with.

I posted this picture as his weekly portrait back when we were in Oregon...

... but of course I took way more pictures of him playing with the trains.

Judah also loved the wagon... pulling it around, and getting rides from his uncles in it!

I just love the feeling of getting caught up! More Oregon pics soon.

Oregon randoms, part 1

I have so many pictures from our weeks in Oregon and South Africa in July/August that I hardly know where to begin, or how to organize them.

We'll start with a few randoms from Oregon. I didn't get any pictures of the family reunion in Portland - I came down with a nasty cold on the flight there and was kind of in a daze those first few days and kept forgetting my big camera. Also, my phone crapped out on me and Sprint was ridiculous and couldn't get me a new one for over a week (even though we have full insurance)... so I don't even have phone pictures!

The first pictures I took are from Ben's birthday meal... right before we drove up to Roseburg.

Birthday boy.

Then I took some of Judah right when we arrived in Roseburg... he was happy to be out of the car!

Playing Kubb (pronounced "koob").

Grandma Driver, Judah, and I happily sat and watched.

Judah got chair "rides" from Uncle James.

Judah worked hard at destroying the Kubb field.

The uncles did plenty of competitive arguing.
Haha.

I have no idea who took this picture, or where, but it's a great one!

Watching Sesame Street with Uncle James.

Fell asleep with Uncle Paul :)

More Oregon pics coming soon!
